A week after there was little movement in the Inland Valley Prep Football Top 10, losses near the top of the rankings threw everything into disarray. Norco remained undefeated and No. 1 with a 42-9 rout of Moreno Valley Canyon Springs. Chino’s 21-14 loss to Murrieta Valley dropped the Cowboys to No. 6, while Damien’s 31-3 rout at the hands of La Puente Bishop Amat knocked them down four spots to No. 8. As a result, still-undefeated Chino Hills moved up two spots to No. 3 with a 42-21 victory over Etiwanda. Likewise, Upland moved up two spots after shutting out Riverside Ramona on Thursday, 37-0. Kaiser also moved up two spots to No. 5 after downing Thermal Coachella Valley, 47-7. Diamond Bar moved up one spot to No. 7 between fellow Sierra League rivals Chino and Damien with a 24-21 victory over district rival Walnut. Previous No. 2 Rancho Cucamonga, No. 3 Chino and No. 4 Damien all lost, but only two of them dropped in the poll. Rancho Cucamonga lost by only two points (49-47) to Corona Centennial, ranked No. 2 in CIF-Southern Section Division V, and did not move in the poll. The bottom two in the poll remained the same: Alta Loma, a 45-30 winner over Cajon, and Los Osos, which had a bye. Inland Valley Top 10 School (Record) Prv 1. Norco (4-0) 1 2.
