Pellegrini admits Chicharitos goal was a handball

first_imgWest Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini admits Javier Hernandez’s equaliser against Fulham was indeed a handball on Friday night. The Mexican striker, more commonly known as Chicharito, netted his 50th Premier League goal with his arm after initially appearing to have headed the ball into the net from a yard out following Robert Snodgrass’ corner.Chicharito’s strike cancelled out Ryan Babel’s opener for Fulham at the London Stadium before Issa Diop’s header found the net to put West Ham 2-1 up heading into the break.Michail Antonio then added a third goal in stoppage-time to hand the Hammers a first win in five matches. But the talking point after the game was naturally all about Chicharito’s equaliser, who’s “helping hand” proved to play a decisive part of West Ham’s recovery.“I’ve seen it now, it’s handball but nobody really saw very clearly,” Pellegrini admitted to Sky Sports.“The Fulham players didn’t complain much about it, maybe they didn’t see if it was the head or hand, but I don’t think it decided the game. We scored two more and created plenty more chances.“We started the game sleeping, the first 10 minutes were unbelievable, they created chances, scored the goal and had another shot wide, but after those 10 minutes we played very well.Harry Maguire, Manchester UnitedLiverpool legend Nicol slams Harry Maguire’s Man United form Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Steve Nicol believes Harry Maguire has made some “horrendous mistakes” recently, and has failed to find his best form since joining Manchester United.“We scored three goals, had three or four clear chances and they didn’t have any more clear-cut opportunities.”Once more this season, West Ham again struggled during the opening phase of the game with former Liverpool star Babel punishing them by scoring his first Fulham goal in the third minute.“You never know the reason why but maybe we are a little bit struggling with instruction at the moment,” said Pellegrini on West Ham’s slow starts this term.“The important thing was that we changed the attitude.”Pellegrini’s side, who are currently ninth in the Premier League table, will next face reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.50 – Javier Hernandez has become the first Mexican player to score 50 Premier League goals; all 50 have been scored inside the box. There’s nothing to do.” So rather than get to that point, we wanted to share some fun things you can do together as a family.Family Entourage joined Good Morning San Diego to help parents create some fun family memories together and be active:• You hear all the time about how tennis and golf are life sports, so start your kids young and grab your clubs and get out on a course. We belonged to a country club growing up and it was so fun to get it out and play as a family. But gone are the days where only the members can play, the San Diego area boasts more than 90 golf courses, laid out among seaside settings, desert mountains or the inland valleys.• Cool down with a family movie-There are those days that it might just be too hot or it is raining, or you have done so many activities that you need to take a break. It can be fun to watch a movie together as a family.• Lake Life -As the summer heats up, you don’t have to go too far to enjoy water activities. Break away from the beach this summer and escape to the sunny shores of Lake San Marcos. Enjoy a leisurely ride in a kayak, or strike a pose on the stand up paddle board, water bikes to a captained luxury Bennington boat rental. You can also cast away in hopes of reeling in the catch of the day while fishing off the docks.• Whether you prefer Storm Troopers or Wizards with Wands, space travel or time travel, patriotic or the classics… the San Diego Symphony’s Bayside Summer Nights is the perfect choice for the whole family to spend and unparalleled under the stars. It’s the long-running summer concert series located on the Embarcadero Marina Park South and this summer’s lineup is top notch. patriotic Star Spangled Pops, 1812 Tchaikovsky Spectacular, two nights of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™ In Concert with John Williams’ unforgettable score performed live to the film, J.K. Whether it is exploring a new trail, cruising along the beach or learning how to ride a bike for the first time, summer time is a great time to take a family bike ride. There are over 20 mountain bike trails in San Diegocounty alone. It can be fun to pick out a new trail or spot and make a day trip out of it. For us, our boys are just at the beginning stages of learning how to ride a bike. STAR PREVIEW Chelsea v PSG

first_img[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s pretty much take your pick of three between Chelsea, PSG and the DRAW in the second Champions League game of the day at Stamford Bridge (7.45pm).If it follows the pattern of the earlier Zenit St Petersburg v Benfica match then we should be in for plenty of drama – Benfica came back from a goal down to win 2-1 with the last kick of the game – a real kick in the ‘you know what’ for draw backers.PSG have been invincible domestically this season and hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg thanks to Edinson Cavani’s 78th minute winner. The good news, from Chelsea’s perspective, is they have an away goal which might well become a factor.Captain John Terry misses this crucial match with a hamstring injury but Costa has been named in the starting XI by manager Guus Hiddink who said: “I’m very proud of him, the way he’s playing and, going not over the edge, but he likes to fight in the real way of the game. That’s what we like. I protect him and support him when he’s doing what he has done in my period at Chelsea. He frequently is scoring now, since December, January. Before he had this problem not scoring, as did the team. Let’s see and hope he can make it to the European level as well.”Costa has scored only one goal in his past 15 Champions League games and will need to penetrate the PSG defence who have conceded just two goals in seven Champion’s League games this season if he is to improve on that record.Chelsea v PSGUEFA Champions League Last-16 2nd Leg19:45 BT Sport Europe / BT Sport Europe HD / BT Sport Ultra HDHEAD TO HEAD RECORD(Maximum 10 matches)Feb 2016 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Paris St-G. 2-1 ChelseaMar 2015 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Chelsea 2-2 Paris St-G.Feb 2015 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Paris St-G. 1-1 ChelseaApr 2014 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Chelsea 2-0 Paris St-G.Apr 2014 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Paris St-G. 3-1 ChelseaNov 2004 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Chelsea 0-0 Paris St-G.Sep 2004 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Paris St-G. 0-3 ChelseaTEAM NEWSChelsea13 Courtois28 Azpilicueta24 Cahill2 Ivanovic16 Kenedy12 Mikel4 Fàbregas17 Pedro22 Willian10 Hazard19 Diego CostaPSG16 Trapp5 Marquinhos2 Thiago Silva32 David Luiz17 Maxwell25 Rabiot8 Motta14 Matuidi11 Di María10 Ibrahimovic7 Lucas MouraThe prediction was landed last night for a profit of 19.5 points and tonight, rather more speculatively I’m going for DRAW/CHELSEA on the Star Sports HT/FT market at around 6/1.RECOMMENDED BETS (scale of 1-100 points)BACK DRAW / CHELSEA for 6 points at around 6/1 with Star SportsTuesday: +19.50 pointsWhat’s your view?
